  4.  This is an optimized version of the parnet.device by The Software Distillery.

  6.  I have reworked the source, replaced some functions with V37 ones,
  7.  optimized some other routines and removed some debug sym.
  8.  
  9.  This new parnet.device will work ONLY UNDER 2.04 or greater AmigaOS, but
  10.  it's 11k (yheah!) smaller than the original one and about 20% faster.

  12.  I have done some test:

  14.  Machine A : Amiga 2000 with 68030/33mhz and pitnet.device (parnet.device
  15.              clone for the MultiFaceCard II - Zorro II board with 2 serial
  16.              and 2 parallel)

  18.  Machine B : Amiga 1200 with 2mb CHIP, 4mb FAST.

  21.  Transfer speed between Machine B to A with original parnet.device on
  22.  Machine B : 39Kb/sec
  23.  
  24.  Transfer speed between Machine B to A with my optimized parnet.device on
  25.  Machine B : 50Kb/sec

  27.  I'm searching for the sources of netpnet-server and netpnet-handler. If you
  28.  have them, please uuencode ed e-mail to skyluke@skylink.sublink.org or
  29.  file-attach them to 2:331/106.

  31.  I would like to optimized them too and fix some bugs (MungWall claims some
  32.  bad FreeMem()s ).

  34.  This parnet.device is 100% compatible with the original one. i.e. you
  35.  can use the original one on a CDTV, and the optimized version on an Amiga
  36.  with OS 2.04 or greater .

  38.  Altough the differences are almost nil: I have enclosed also the 68020
  39.  version for you 68020-specific-software-maniac :) :
